John Tucker Must Die I just wished I was 12 the whole time. This movie would have been so cool when I was 12. Also, not much has changed since She’s All That — straightening a girl’s hair still makes her popular.
Coneheads Wow, everyone is in the movie — even Ellen DeGeneres has a cameo as the dive coach. I’m embarrassed I hadn’t seen it before. (And, in typical I-read-too-much-into-everything fashion, I kept thinking, “Wow, this is some astute commentary on immigration and The American Dream.”)
The Full Monty Okay, I’d seen this one before. But not while living in Pittsburgh. The movies makes Sheffield out to be the Pittsburgh of England (well, maybe Pittsburgh from 10 or 20 years ago) — a defunct steeltown full of weirdos.
